Here’s Stéphanie! “I’m a chemical engineer – my title is Scheduling, Feedstocks and Process Modeling Manager in the Refining and Chemicals Department at Total. That means that I manage a team of 7 people focused on scheduling and blending optimization models with feedstock data and distillation models. I enjoy working with a team and developing my leadership skills too.
I studied chemical engineering at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques in Nancy, and followed that with a master degree in Refining from IFP School. In my role, it’s important to be really knowledgeable about both refining and petrochemicals, so that you can understand clients’ on-site needs. For my next position, I might consider an operational job in supply or logistics.
I work with clients all over Europe, meeting people from different cultures at the different sites I visit is an interesting part of my job. It’s also important to have good communication skills, to be able to listen and to be dynamic!
Working at Total allows me to have interesting career opportunities and to work with people all over the world, across our different sites. Each day is different here, and I really enjoy that.”
