Meet Pauline! She’s a Human Resources Advisor at Total, based in Houston, USA. “I’m in charge of the US Expat employees who are working in other Total affiliates or at HQ. I also take care of our USA internship and placement program, and university relations too.”


What’s Pauline’s advice to anyone considering a career in her field? “Patience, compassion and listening skills are all very important because when people come to you they are expecting you to solve their issue and understand what they are going through. If someone wants to be in HR, my advice would be to develop their customer service skills and have a genuine interest in positively impacting people’s life. My favorite part of the job is interacting with people and knowing that I’m needed and can make a difference.”
