Total Campus visit to ESPCI tech incubator

Last week the Total Campus team, led by Total’s Director of Education Andrew Hogg, visited our partner ESPCI’s IPGG business Incubator, to see how the school’s innovative start up is helping students launch their high-tech ideas into the global marketplace. During the visit at the ESPCI Paris we meet Rémi Carminati, Professor, Dean of Research; Corinne Degoutte, Director of Philanthropy; and Manon Pommier, ESPCI Paris Incubator manager.

“It’s important for Total to partner with universities that share our commitment to better energy,” said Andrew. “ESPCI has been at the heart of energy innovation since it was founded – from the Curies’ discovery of radium to more recent Nobel prizes and exciting research work. It’s fascinating to see how the school is working with startup businesses in the incubator, and continuing ESPCI’s tradition of entrepreneurship and close work with the industry.”

ESPCI is the first French engineering school to have been selected to participate in the COFUND European funding program, with 30 doctoral students from all over the world joining researchers and students on campus and in industry placements from next year.
